L.A. Voters Come Out in Support of Libraries

In a bit of good news for the library world, the residents of Los Angeles passed Measure L yesterday. This will increase spending for the Los Angeles Public Library system by $50 million over the next few years without raising taxes. This means that the library will eventually be able to return to 7 days a week service for its central and 8 regional libraries and 6 days a week service for the remaining 64 branch libraries.
