Deadwood Public Library, SD

Let me ask you a question. Wild Bill Hickok was killed in Nuttal & Mann’s Saloon after a card game in 1876.  The Deadwood Public Library was established in 1895.  Had the Deadwood Public Library been open in 1876, do you think that Wild Bill’s assasin, Jack McCall, would have been hanging around reading a book instead of playing a game of poker?

Probably not.

    SAD commentary.
What point or opinions are you are actually trying to express?
That Jack McCall was illiterate & therefore spent too much time in saloons gambling instead of reading? Illiteracy was pretty high back then.
The meaning of your comment is a mystery to me… and NO, I’m not a freeking moron; in fact a very sarcastic & cynical person as I sense you are…. But I just don’t get it….

@Mike: Sorry there wasn’t enough substance here for you, buddy. I was actually just excited to be in the town of Deadwood and run into their library. Feel free to submit a constructive piece about the history of the Deadwood Library. I’d love to post that.
