YALSA 28 Days of Advocacy Coming Soon

Lorraine here with something neat I learned about at the YALSA blogger meetup on Sunday morning: February 2009 will be “28 Days of Advocacy” on the YALSA blog, with posts each day about the who, what, where, why, and HOW of advocating for teens and libraries.

I hope you’ve all looked at Add It Up, the fabulous advocacy tool that ALA debuted last week and that was discussed on this blog here.  As library budgets are crunched and called upon to do more with less, it will be vital for us to remind taxpayers, grantmakers and government of the importance of libraries in the lives of those who don’t have the financial wherewithal to vote with their dollars.  If you haven’t already, please add the YALSA blog to your aggregator to get your daily advocacy boost through February!
