ALA Council I - Resolution on Member Access to Electronic Lists

The problem is that ALA has a policy on open meetings where any member may attend any open meeting. (Those which are closed are awards and those parts of meetings dealing with personal/institution information like accreditation and nominations.) However, it recently came to light that there are many electronic lists which are not open to members. After much discussion, the resolution was referred to the Task Force on Electronic Participation which is chaired by Janet Swan Hill. Council I adjourned on time!
