QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship for High School Juniors

Help your students to access educational opportunity. The QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship is designed to level the playing field of college admissions by equipping high-achieving low-income students to apply successfully to leading schools. If you know any high school juniors who have achieved exceptional academic results in the face of economic challenges, please consider referring them to the College Prep Scholarship application.

Scholarship awards will include:
Full scholarships to selective college summer programs: QuestBridge will provide counseling to 10 students to support their applications to summer school programs at Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Notre Dame, or Yale University. If accepted, students will receive a scholarship covering tuition, room and board.
College admissions counseling: QuestBridge will offer individualized assistance with college admissions and financial aid to 50 students.
College preparatory conferences: Approximately 800 applicants will be selected to attend one of QuestBridge’s four college preparatory conferences at top-ranked colleges nationwide in the summer of 2007. Conferences will feature workshops on selecting colleges, application strategies, and financial aid.

Additional information:
The application will be available on the QuestBridge website (www.questbridge.org) starting on March 1, and will be due on March 31.
The application and awards are free of charge.
Over 800 scholarships will be awarded.
Refer qualified students to QuestBridge by going to our homepage (www.questbridge.org) and clicking on the “Refer a Student” link.

College Prep Scholarship applicants will also gain a head start on applying to the fall 2007 QuestBridge College Match program, as their information will transfer automatically to the College Match application. The College Match program pairs high-achieving low-income high school seniors with admission and full four-year scholarships to QuestBridge partner colleges.

Last year, QuestBridge helped more than 400 students gain admission to some of the nation’s leading colleges, with financial aid estimated at over $40 million. Colleges partnered with QuestBridge include Amherst College, Columbia University, Princeton University, Rice University, Stanford University, Swarthmore College, the University of Notre Dame, Wellesley College, Williams College, and Yale University.

QuestBridge is a venture of the Quest Scholars Program, a nationally-focused non-profit organization that has worked since 1994 to connect outstanding low-income students with scholarships, mentoring, and other educational opportunities.
