Public Libraries journal Seeks Columnist

“Public Libraries” the journal of the Public Library Association is seeking a columnist for its Bringing in the Money column.  The current columnist, Stephanie Gerding, is resigning with the March/April issue.  “Bringing in the Money” presents fund-raising strategies for public libraries and seeks to provide information on alternative funding sources in order to help librarians supplement shrinking library budgets.  This is an unpaid, volunteer position.  You must be willing to turn in six columns a year, either by writing the column or finding someone to write it for you (i.e. a guest columnist on a specific subject). If you are interested, please send a note to Kathleen Hughes, Editor of “PL” at .  Please include some information about your library experience, your fundraising experience, and writing samples or links to writing samples.  Thanks!
