Public Libraries Seeks Submissions for “Perspectives” Column
Has your library:
*combined departments?
*separated departments?
*initiated a new acquisitions procedure?
*moved a service desk, altering how patrons are approached
Are you:
*the director who initiated the change?
*the department head who implemented the change?
*the staff member who has to work with that change?
*the new director or department head who has dismantled the change of a predecessor?
Whatever your perspective on change, consider writing an essay for Public Libraries. The topic of the “Perspectives” column for May/June 2007 issue is “Organizational Change.” Essays should be roughly 1000 words, and can be e-mailed to the “Perspectives” co-editor, Nann Blaine Hilyard at . Photographs are welcome. Please send draft essays by January 5, 2007.
