November 14th, 2006 by Linda MielkeDiscussed that we must truly believe that the value of a public service is measured by use, not so much a feeling or what we learned in library school. How about your verticle file? Staff spend a great deal of time to make a excellent verticle file. Is it used? Or is the verticle file an example of “irrelevant excellence?”
We must make choices for scarce resources; does work on the verticle file, as a example, make the cut as a budget priority.
