PLA now accepting proposals for 2008 National Conference
September 8th, 2006 by Steven M. CohenFrom the press release:
“The Public Library Association (PLA) is now accepting preconference and program proposals for its 12th National Conference, to be held March 25-29, 2008 in Minneapolis. Proposals may be submitted through an online form, available on the PLA web site, www.pla.org. Faxed or mailed proposals will not be accepted.”
“Proposals may be created and updated until November 30, 2006. After November 30, the form will no longer be available, and new proposals will not be accepted. A committee appointed by the PLA president will review all submitted proposals and select conference programs based on their relevance to the profession and general interest to conference attendees. Jane Eickhoff, associate director of the Harford County Public Library, Maryland chairs the committee. Organizers will be notified whether or not proposals are accepted in February 2007.”
It’s hard to think that far ahead, but the conference will be here before we know it.
