The only good answer to “How was your trip?” is the single word — “uneventful.” Unfortunately, I’ve come to New Orleans to learn that everyone has a tale of woe regarding cancelled flights (my first leg), re-routing through cities not at all on any kind of logical geographic path to their destination, missed connections, the list goes on. I did arrive, thanks to the benevolence of a couple of very wonderful people on their way to the exhibit hall (I’m not supposed to mention company names, but let’s just say the initials are “Demco” — thanks Janet & Caroline!) who opted to drive from Madison to O’Hare to catch the 2nd leg of our flight. They saved the day!
