Got this tip (second-hand) at a meeting this morning. I haven’t tested this, but I know poeple who have.  If you try it, leave a comment and let us know how it goes.

If you walk into Harrah’s, and go “all the way to the back,” you can pretty much walk the length of the hotel, covering blocks of walking while avoiding the heat.  If you’re heading to the convention center, you can actually exit the hotel at Convention Center Road, then walk down the rest of the loooooong way to the conference area.
