Pre-registration for this year’s Massachusetts Library Association conference, themed “Defying Classification!“, closes April 22, 2005 (you can still register at the conference, though). Highlights of the conference, which meets May 9-11, include:
- Information on The Digital Commonwealth project, “a statewide initiative fostering collaboration between institutions and their digital resources”.
- A presentation on how the Massachusetts Statewide Virtual Catalog “has fostered
unprecedented cooperation between public and academic libraries”. - An “Evolving Web, Evolving Librarian” presentation on the changes in librarianship prompted by technology, and how librarians can evolve with it.
- Presentations on walking the walk in advocacy, talking the talk in marketing, serving the community and more.
Not to mention karaoke and morning yoga!
